AnotationThe research proposal concerns an active field of biology at the crossroad of classical botany, population biology, evolutionary biology, and ecology. The specific objectives are to investigate the phenomenon of cleistogamy, a unique yet poorly understood reproductive strategy of certain plants. The project should initiate a very much needed modern research program in plant biology at the Department of Biology and Ecology, Faculty of Science, University of Ostrava.
