The Dean of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava announces a job vacancy at the Department of Biology and Ecology

Qualification and other Requirements

• Master´s degree in biology or ecology
• Ph.D. degree in biology with a focus on botany
• English language competency B2 or higher
• publication activities in the above mentioned fields
• EU research level: R2 - Recognized
• self-reliance, responsibility, teamwork skills
• communication and organisational skills
  
  

Job description

• activities (organizational and pedagogical) in the system of Longlife learning in the fields of biology and ecology
• preparation and organization of courses focused on further education and professional development of the teachers of biology
• teaching subjects focused on botany (seminars and tutorials)
• scientific activity in the field of botany (especially focused on molecular biology ecology, biosystematics and plant evolution)
• cooperation in supervising and opposing bachelor´s theses

All the documents required are to be sent to  by March 10^th, 2022.

The first round of the selection procedure will take place without the personal presence of the applicants by the assessment of the submitted materials by the selection committee.

The Dean of the Faculty of Science reserves the right to invite only selected candidates to a personal meeting and also the right to select no candidate. The Dean of the Faculty of Science is also entitled to cancel or repeat the selection procedure.

The selection procedure will be conducted in Czech.
