IMPACT: Meet-up in Budapest
This September, the kick-off meeting of the consortium for the project “IMPACT: Boosting Capacity to Manage International Projects at V4 Universities”, funded by the Visegrad Fund, will take place. Among the partner institutions involved is also the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava
The main event will be the IMPACT: Meet-up conference, scheduled for 11 September 2025 at Óbuda University in Budapest. The aim of the event is to support knowledge sharing, the exchange of best practices, and the development of cooperation between universities.
A key highlight of the program will be the expert presentation “What Sets Us Apart”, in which the participating institutions will showcase their unique approaches to managing international projects – from responsibility distribution and monitoring, through application processes and risk management, to the integration of projects into the organizational structure of universities.
The Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava will be represented at the event by Vice-Dean for Development and Internationalization i Mgr. Jan Macháček, Ph.D. and Project Administrator Ing. Romana Bernátová from the Project Support Department. In their presentation, they will share long-standing experience with the preparation, submission, and implementation of international projects, including effective budget management, the establishment of monitoring and evaluation processes, and ensuring that project results deliver long-term benefits for the university and its partners.
The methods and innovative approaches presented are intended to provide inspiration and practical insights for improving project management in other academic institutions as well. The event is co-organized by Óbuda University and Wroclaw University of Economics and Business.
