Assistant Professor in Biophysics
The Dean of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava announces a job vacancy at the Department of Physics (f/m)

Job Description/Responsibilities
- consulting or supervising diploma and dissertation theses;
- participating in teaching focused on advanced microscopic methods;
- contributing to the development of the use of advanced microscopic methods at the workplace.
Qualifications and other requirements
- PhD degree in biophysics, physical chemistry or related fields;
- long-term experience in advanced microscopy techniques and biophysics;
- authorship of primary scientific papers in T-cell biology (minimum 10 publications, including first-author papers in top journals in the field; corresponding citation response according to WOS - H-index ca 10);
- good knowledge of English (minimum B2);
- very good organizational and communication skills;
- ability to work in a team;
- experience in a higher education environment is an advantage.

The first round of the selection procedure will take place without the personal presence of the candidates by the assessment of the submitted materials by the selection committee.
The Dean of the Faculty reserves the right to invite only selected candidates to a personal meeting and also the right not to select any candidate. The selection procedure may be cancelled or repeated at the initiative of the Dean of the Faculty.
