Anotation | Dramatic environmental changes are currently affecting the landscape. Some of the changes are gradual and do not pose an acute risk, but some are sudden and involve dangerous phenomena such as flooding or landslides and associated changes in relief. This project focuses on a few selected manifestations of contemporary landform changes, which will be studied through modern interdisciplinary approaches that will allow a broader spectrum of the impact of environmental change to be captured. The focus will be on analysing the recent impact of floods on relief, changes in stream channels due to these flood events, recent continuous slope movements, changes in soil properties but also detecting anthropogenically accelerated movements in relief. The research will be carried out at selected sites in Central Europe. |
