| Anotation | The old industrial regions were at the forefront of capitalist development from 1840 to the 1920s. As a result of the new international division of labor that has arisen together with the process of globalization, the old industrial regions are facing long-term problems, undergoing a change in structural characteristics and a decline in importance. In the context of negative economic shocks, the presented project will contribute to capturing or explaining disparities in the development of the economic performance of old industrial regions, resilience and adaptability. The economic resilience of old industrial regions will be examined in the period of the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and the crisis caused by the increase in energy prices in 2022. |
