Annotation: | The aim is to provide students with a broad information on environmental biotechnologies, namely, the biodegradation of organopollutants and decontamination of the environment, including the linkage to the processes of bioremediation of liquid and solid wastes. Bioremediation technologies combine the knowledge from various scientific and technological areas, such as general and applied microbiology, biochemistry, microbial physiology, chemistry of organopollutants, chemical engineering, ecotoxicology and environmental microbiology. The education will focus on main principles and characteristic features of the bioremediation processes. |
