Job description

  • In silico analysis of biofilms in various trypanosomatid species.
  • Bioinformatic analysis of proteoglycans in trypanosomatids.
  • Bioinformatic analysis of proteins involved in polysaccharide metabolism in trypanosomatids: correlation with biofilm production.
  • Bioinformatic analysis of proteins involved in lipid metabolism in trypanosomatids: correlation with proteoglycan anchoring in membranes.
  • In silico analysis of membrane rafts.

Qualification requirements – required

  • Completion (Graduation) of a Doctoral Study Program (Ph.D.) in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience in the field of Polymer Chemistry, evidenced by a minimum of 10 publications in journals with an Impact Factor.
  • Experience in the field of Cheminformatics (Chemical Informatics) is welcome/advantageous.
  • Work experience at a research institution outside the Czech Republic for a total duration of at least 1 year.
  • English language proficiency at level B2; other languages are an advantage.
  • Independence and ability to work in a team.

Knowledge of the Czech language is irrelevant.

Information about the selection procedure

The first round of the selection procedure will take place in the form of an assessment of the submitted materials. Only selected applicants will be invited to the second round.

The Dean of the Faculty is entitled to cancel the selection procedure or not to select any of the applicants without giving a reason.
