Scholarships

The Faculty of Science at the University of Ostrava offers a range of scholarship opportunities to its students. Scholarships may be awarded for outstanding academic performance, successful completion of studies, excellent research and creative achievements, participation in research and other projects, representation of the Faculty, and other activities, including those supported under the special Science Without Borders scholarship programme.

Depending on the specific conditions, a scholarship may be awarded either on the recommendation of an academic staff member, usually the guarantor of the relevant degree programme, or on the basis of an application submitted directly by the student.

The conditions governing the awarding of scholarships at the Faculty of Science are set out in the University of Ostrava Scholarship Regulations and the relevant Dean′s Measures. These documents are available on the University of Ostrava Portal in the Documents section, under Faculty of Science, specifically in the Faculty Documents and Dean′s Measures of the Faculty of Science subsections.
