ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility
Students from countries outside the EU can also spend one semester studying with us within the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme. Under this programme, the University of Ostrava, Faculty of Science provides incoming foreign students with a grant, which covers their return travel and monthly living allowances.
Currently, partners of the UO Faculty of Science within the Erasmus+ ICM include:
- Belarus, Polotsk State University
- Canada, Georgian College
- China, Chongqing University of Technology, Shanghai Normal University
- Georgia, Ilia State University
- Vietnam, Can Tho University
How to Apply
Students from partner institutions listed above need to be selected by their home university first. Each partner university has a set number of students who can study at the UO Faculty of Science under this programme. Please contact your home university coordinator for details. After receiving a nomination from the partner university, UO contacts the nominated students directly with details.
No tuition fees are required within this programme.
Students should discuss the course selection with their host department coordinator as well as with their home university coordinator to have the credits recognised at the home university upon their return.
Visa and Insurance
Non EU-citizens who wish to study at the UO Faculty of Science are required to obtain their visa before arriving in Czechia. Click here to learn more about the type of visa and documents necessary for the visa application.
Students who are not the European Union citizens must have valid travel medical insurance which covers the entire stay in Czechia. Get more information here.
