The Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology offers the study in three Bachelor and three Master degree programmes focused on general Physical Geography, Landscape Formation and Protection, Cartography and Geoinformatics, and Modeling in Environmental Geography. Another offered study programme is that of Environmental Geography. The teaching of the courses of cartography, geology, geomorphology, hydrology and climatology is provided within double major study programmes. The courses take place both in specialised laboratories (sedimentological laboratory, laboratory of dynamic geomorphology, GIS laboratory, and dendrogeomorphological laboratory) and field work excursions and practical training. The department disposes of modern educational equipment for both laboratory and field work. Numerous international relations have been established with tens of workplaces of Europe in order to secure student exchange programmes and joint research.
