AnotationEndogenous Leishmania RNA virus 1 (LRV1) of Leishmania guyanensis has been shown to facilitate pathogen's spread and be associated with the drug treatment failures of mucocutaneous Leishmania infection. Therefore, studies of LRV1 are potentially important from the medical perspective. In this project we plan to perform an analysis of the host proteins interacting with LRV1. They will be analyzed and tested in vitro and in vivo for their putative role in LRV1 maintenance.
