Anotation | The aim of the project is to develop comprehensive methodologies for: (a) addressing the balance of fluvial sediments and their management, (b) handling deadwood within riverbeds, and (c) procedures for removing barriers in watercourses. These methodologies are geared towards appropriate restoration measures aimed at improving geodiversity and biodiversity. The project is grounded in multidisciplinary approach. The methodologies are based on the study of five river reaches and their tributaries, with the goal of creating a robust toolset for the management, as well as a more generalized version for watercourse managers. The project's outputs will include specialized maps and project proposals for enhancing the state of the watercourse, papers and conference. |
