The course aims to familiarize students with the possibilities of using the R programming language for processing spatial data. Students will gain basic skills in the R language, an overview of packages commonly used in the field, as well as freely available data. They will learn how to work with table, vector, and raster data in the R environment, and how to address common issues in spatial data processing. After completion of the course, students will be able to develop a complete workflow for goespatial data processing in R - including data obtaining, filtering, basic analysis, export, and visualization.
