Meeting of the Faculty of Science Academic Community to Present the Candidates for Dean
The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science, University of Ostrava (AS FoS UO), invites you to a meeting of the Faculty Academic Community, which will take place on 5 November 2026 at 2:30 p.m. in room M427 (Building M, Chittussiho 10, Slezská Ostrava).
Programme of the Faculty Academic Community Meeting:
- Presentation of the candidates: Each candidate will present their election programme to the Faculty Academic Community in a presentation lasting no more than 15 minutes. The presentation may be accompanied by electronic slides, which must be uploaded to the computer in the room before the meeting begins.
- Moderated discussion: Candidates will have the opportunity to answer questions from those attending the Faculty Academic Community meeting. The moderated discussion will last no more than 2 hours.
- Closing remarks: At the end of the meeting, each candidate will be given 3 minutes for closing remarks.
In accordance with the approved schedule for the election of the Dean, the list of candidates, including their election programmes, will be published no later than the end of 3 November 2026.
In accordance with Article 15(9) of the Rules of Procedure of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science, University of Ostrava, the pre-election meeting of the Faculty Academic Community will be chaired by the Chair of the Electoral Committee for the election of the Dean, who is also the Chair of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science.
The Faculty Academic Community meeting will also be available to watch online via a link provided here. Those watching online will not be able to submit questions during the discussion
