AnotationThe project focuses on the research of porous materials to harness their unique properties in various fields. Three subprojects include: (1) the development of ceramic-carbon composites for efficient enzyme immobilization, enabling sustainable and cost-effective biocatalytic applications; (2) the optimization of materials for specific protein adsorption applicable in biomedicine and bioanalytics, with an emphasis on selectivity and the elimination of biofouling; (3) the development of innovative MOF@HPCM composites for targeted drug delivery, facilitating effective treatments with minimal side effects. The project builds on previous research by the Department of Chemistry and expands it towards environmental and biomedical chemistry.
