Madhawa Joshi – Lean, AI, and everything

Lean is arguably the most popular and most actively developed automatic theorem prover. This summer Madhawa attended a summer school on Lean, and will share his experience. Unavoidably, like every mathematical topic nowadays, this will be entangled with AI, where we are heading, and what we should do about it.

Topics will include:

  • A brief introduction to Lean, both from philosophical (types vs. sets) and practical (typing code on a computer keyboard) viewpoints.
  • Usage of Lean in teaching of elementary courses at Utrecht.
  • Interaction of AI and Lean.
