Join us for a geography lecture marathon

The Faculty of Science at the University of Ostrava will, after a year, once again welcome specialists in political, economic, and cultural geography from April 20 to 24. Academics and students can look forward to a marathon of lectures and discussions at Hladnov (Chittussiho 10, Ostrava) as part of the International Teaching Week.

The Department of Social Geography and Regional Development has once again prepared the International Teaching Week for all participants. Thanks to support from the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program by European Union and CEEPUS program, the Faculty of Science will, for the third time, host leading international experts in political, economic, urban, and cultural geography.

I am extremely pleased that we were able to expand the number of lecturers even further compared to the last year, and I look forward to the perspectives they will share through their lectures and debates. I warmly invite everyone interested in political, economic and cultural geographies,” says the main organizer, Dr. Lukáš Laš.

Among the speakers there are representatives from universities in Armenia, Georgia, Hungary, Korea, Kosovo, Morocco, Romania and Ukraine. The full program is available online.
