Annotation:	Student will acquire knowledge about structure and function of the photosynthetic apparatus (from absorption and transfer of excitation energy within light-harvesting complexes, electron transport through thylakoid membrane to biochemical processes such as CO2 assimilation), as well as photoprotective processes preventing oxidative damage. The attention is mainly focused on biophysical aspects of photosynthesis.
