AnotationThe submitted project deals with particular questions of biological diversity from different perspectives (ecology, phylogeny and population genetics) on selected model groups (insects, mosses and fungi), following the long-term research goals of individual supervisors and research teams (P. Drozd, A. Dolný, P. Kočárek, V. Plášek, J. Gáper). The project consists of several research objectives which are thematically defined into five areas: 1) Ecological interactions of insects in relation to biodiversity; 2) Population ecology and diversity of tyrphophilous dragonflies; 3) Molecular phylogeny and classification of the Forficulidae (Dermaptera); 4) Creation of distribution models of selected members of the Orthotrichaceae and 5) Ecological trends of the genus Ganoderma in the Czech Republic. The research objectives correspond to the partial research questions solved within the individual dissertations.
