AnotationThe project will continue to develop and improve methodologies for correct and accurate identification of individual species of organisms using modern methods of fuzzy modeling and machine learning. The main purpose is the direct application of our knowledge in practice with the involvement of the public in the mapping of species using applications designed to monitor animal species (dragonflies, grasshoppers, amphibians, reptiles and mammals). The project proceeds from our previous research that demonstrate theoretically and practically the potentials of methods such as species identification using image, occurence and environmental data. The main aims of the project are: The use of fuzzy logic and machine learning in the creation of automatic identification systems (especially with the use of image recognition) and their direct application in the application Dragonfly Hunter CZ The use of fuzzy logic and machine learning in the creation of automatic identification systems (especially with the use of image recognition) and their direct application in the application Herpeto Hunter CZ The use of fuzzy logic and machine learning in the creation of automatic identification systems (especially with the use of image recognition) and their direct application in the application Orthoptera Hunter CZ Creation of a new application for mammalian identification in the Czech Republic The research will be carried out in cooperation with the Department of Biology and Ecology with the Department of Informatics and Computers and the Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling. The Agency for Nature and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic will be involved in the research as an external consultant. The output of the project will be the improvement of identification mechanisms, especially using automatic image recognition in our e mobile applications, publications in an impacted scientific journal and presentations at selected conferences (e. g. at the ICO 2021)
