| Anotation | Although our knowledge of telomere biology in trypanosomatids is relatively advanced (at least in the main model species, T. brucei), recent studies in a wider range of related species, including our own published and preliminary results show a number of contrasting features, indicating the unprecedented diversity of players and even pathways involved in telomere maintenance. In the proposed project, we aim to explore this group in more detail to elucidate the principles governing telomere biology of trypanosomatids, including hitherto unknown mechanisms. |
