AnotationThe aim of this project is to expand our knowledge of molecular mechanisms, biological diversity, and evolutionary processes in various eukaryotic systems using advanced bioinformatics methods. The research activities cover a wide range of topics, unified by the application of modern computational and analytical techniques. Key areas of investigation include: 1. Analysis of epigenetic changes associated with the progression of extramedullary myeloma; 2. Prediction and bioinformatic characterization of mitochondrial and plastidial proteomes in a model eustigmatophyte species; 3. Phylogenetic and functional investigations of Ras superfamily GTPases; 4. Studies focused on the biodiversity of microorganisms in polar ecosystems and their adaptations to extreme environments; 5. Characterization of a novel type of genetic elements with unique structure and gene repertoire. This project includes subprojects building on previously conducted studies as well as entirely new research directions. The schedule of individual projects is aligned with the current topics of doctoral dissertations. The results of the projects will be presented at scientific conferences in the form of talks or posters and will also published in peer-reviewed journals. Due to the involvement of foreign students, annotations of individual projects are written in English.
