The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science at the University of Ostrava is a representative academic self-government body of the Faculty of Science. The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science co-decides on the organization and activities of the Faculty of Science.

The rules for the sessions, proceedings, and the adoption of resolutions of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science are given by the Procedural Regulations. The process for the election of members and replacement members and the process for the appointment of the Chairperson(s) and/or other offices of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science, are given by the Electoral Regulations.

Resolutions from the meeting of the Academic Senate of the FS UO dated June 18, 2026

At the meeting of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science (AS FS) at the University of Ostrava (UO) on June 18, 2026, the following resolutions were adopted.

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava announces the election of the Dean of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava for the 2027–2031 election period

At the meeting of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava on June 18, 2026, a resolution was adopted: The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science (AS FS) of the University of Ostrava (UO) announces the election of the Dean of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava for the 2027–2031 election period, approves the schedule for the election of the Dean and the requirements for the proposal of a candidate for Dean.
